TERMS OF BUSINESS

Orders are subject to availability, crop conditions, errors in count, or any other factor beyond our control. One grade size adjustment up or down may be necessary to allow for variances in growing conditions. If a change in size is not acceptable to you, please indicate this on your order. Unfortunately, we cannot break bundles. Please see individual varieties for bundle sizes. Plants are $2.75 each on orders of less than 100 plants.

Payment Full payment for orders under $500 must be received within 30 days of ordering, and prior to shipment. Orders over $500 can be secured with a 25% deposit; balance due net-30 from receipt of plants.  Overdue accounts are charged a 1.5% service charge per month. We accept checks, ACH, wire transfers and credit cards; associated fees, when applicable, will be billed to you at cost.

Wire Transfer Fees We welcome payment via wire transfer, especially for international orders. All associated bank fees will be included in your final invoice. Typically, International Wire Transfer Fees for payment made in two installments is about $50 US dollars, but will be assessed based on your particular payment plan.

Cancellations Please submit cancellations as early as possible so that we can supply cancelled items to other customers. Cancellations must be received in writing or email no later than January 1 to avoid a 25% restocking fee of total order.

Packing Charges Orders requiring wood crates are billed at cost. Orders under $500 are charged a $10 handling fee.

Shipments Freight is charged at cost. Shipments are F.O.B. from CopenHaven Farms Nursery in Gaston, Oregon. Freight related claims are the responsibility of the carrier, and should be issued with them. If you want to arrange your own transportation, let us know when ordering. International customers (Canada and Mexico) are responsible for obtaining import documents and emailing them to veronica@copenhavenfarms.com four weeks prior to shipment. We handle phytosanitary certificates for cross border shipments. Export charges including brokerage, duties, phytosanitary certificates, and taxes will be billed to you. We do not ship to British Columbia.

Proper Handling of rootstock is essential to its success. Upon receipt of your shipment be sure to keep plants from drying out or freezing. Additionally, because of Ethylene gas’ damaging effect on rootstock, plants should be kept away from apples at all times, which contain Ethylene gas. Do not store rootstock in the same room or container as apples without ventilation. CopenHaven Farms is not responsible for any rootstock damaged or destroyed by exposure to Ethylene gas.

Claims We guarantee your rootstock will be in good condition when we ship it to you. Please inspect your order upon arrival and submit any product related claims in writing within five days of receipt of your order. CopenHaven Farms’ warranty does not apply to plant material damaged or injured during shipment or due to the buyer’s negligence, improper care, unreasonable use, or abuse.
